Peugeot Van MOT Criteria

Van Vin Number

a vehicle identification number is to be legally displayed and legible on a vehicle manufactured or first driven on or after 1 August 1980

Van Reg Number

legibility and format of letters and numbers, including plate condition,

Van Lights

condition, operation, security and brightness. The headlights will be inspected to see if the aim is right.

Van Steering including suspension

condition correct including operation

Van Wipers screen washers

operation to confirm clear road view

Van Windshield

condition, no cracks and confirm clear van drivers view of the road

Van Horn

correct sound, operation and pitch

Van Seat-belts

Seatbelts installed correctly. Operation/security.

Van Seats

Seats of Van secure. Front and rear seats tested secured in the upright condition.

Van Fuel Operation

no fuel leak, fuel cap fastens and secures. Fuel cap will need to be open. Ensure your key is available

Van Exhaust test emissions

Your vehicle shall be tested to confirm the vehicle meets environmental standards. This can vary on the age and fuel type of the van

Van Exhaust system

complete, no holes, or damages components, and the van exhaust shall be sound tested.

Vehicle Van structure

free from corrosion and major damage. No rusty or sharp edges

Van Doors

open / close correctly. Latch closed and in position. Front doors require to open from inside and the outside the van. Rear doors shall need to be opened for access to testable equipment.

Van Mirrors

presence, clear, no smashed parts, condition and security

Van Wheels including tyres

condition, security, tyre size and type, and tread depth. Spare tyres are tested if you require us to test but its not mandatory.

Van Brakes

Vans will be tested on a roller brake test machine. Vans such as those with 4-wheel drive will be tested either on the road using a calibrated and maintained decelerometer or, if one is installed at the test station, a plate brake tester.
